Elementary Physical Education
W/ Coach Hinton
Welcome to your child's Elementary PE site! I am Coach Hinton and I am excited to be part of the Huskies family! A little bit about myself: I spent seven years serving in the United States Air Force. After that, I started a career as a fitness professional managing/coaching for companies like the YMCA, Orangetheory Fitness and F45 Training. Always enjoying teaching, I decided to make a career in 2024. With my wife in the education field for over 18 years, I chose to pursue my PE certification. Fast forward to now as I enter into my 2nd year of teaching, I am excited about sharing my passion for fitness, being active and creating healthy habits through teamwork and positivity!
This is site is where you can find what your child is doing while they are in PE class. KG through 3rd grade will have PE every four days, while 4th & 5th grade will have PE every six days. I do ask that you help support safety and fun by ensuring your child dressing in closed toed shoes for their days when they have PE. If you have any questions about at all or have any concerns to include injuries/limitations.
September 2025
In August, we spent time focusing on laying down a foundation of rules, procedures, rewards, and consequences. We, also, worked on establishing locomotor skills, listening skills, and working as a team. I, personally, have been using this time to get to know each your kids. For September, we will continue to focus on sport related skills, locomotor skills and spatial awareness as we move towards playing team sports/ sports related activities in October. Please ensure your child wear athletic shoes for their PE days.
Last month, I had three friends make the Impossible Shot! They were (1) Stephanie E, (2) Avery L, & (3) Owen H. Give it up for them!
AS A REMINDER:
- Rewards: (1) PE Helpers, (2) Pawsitive Referrals, (3) Merits, (4) Impossible Shot (make it and earn!), (5) Class Points & (6) Choice Days
- Consequences: (1) Warning and refresh, (2) Sit out, (3) Minor offense into Educator’s Handbook & parent contact, (4) Two minor offense within two weeks is a major offense which will result in a referral (5) Instant referral/admin contact when safety in jeopardy
